It is has been certified by Guinness World Records as the largest mobilization of human beings in recorded history.

Ding, dong, dead. Ding, dong, dead. Ding, dong, dead:
Every three seconds a child dies. Often, the cause is an avoidable illness due to insufficient vaccination, polluted water or unhygienic living conditions. The 189 governments, that signed the UN Millennium Declaration in the year 2000, also set as their goal to devote theirselves especially to the problems of Africa until 2015. This means for example, that they have to combat AIDS, Malaria and other diseases, which are widespread in Africa.
Based on the situation in Ethiopia and on the personal expierences of Prof. Dr. Guntinas-Lichius the the lecture shall draw the attention to the difficult situation of health care in Africa. Prof. Dr. Orlando Guntinas-Lichius is a member of Doctors Without Borders and was already several times working as a doctor in Ethiopia.

Der Bundeswehrarzt A.D.
