With this project we would like to contribute our part to a better welcoming culture in Thuringia and especially in Ilmenau. In addition, we want to better integrate the refugees into society and offer them a home during their time in Thuringia.
We see the cooperation as an opportunity to improve intercultural communication between the citizens of Ilmenau and the refugees and hope to achieve mutual understanding and friendship between people.
For this reason, the supporter network "Refugees Welcome" was founded in Ilmenau in November and December 2014, which is supported by ISWI e.V. in terms of personnel and infrastructure.
