1.1 General information about the visit to our website
ISWI e.V. obtains individualised as well as non-individualised, generic information about your visit to our website, including your IP address, browser type and language, access time and referring website through the use of certain technology in order to enable you to view and browse our website.
1.2 Use of cookies
Cookies are small pieces of data which are sent by a website to your web browser and are stored on your computer. Cookies contain an expiration date, after which they are automatically deleted by your browser.
We use long-living cookies (two weeks) exclusively for our auto-login feature, which you may disable during login without any interference to the functionality of this website.
We use cookies that live for as long as you stay on our website (until you close your browser window) to enable the functionality on this site. If you do not agree to the usage of these short-living cookies, please refrain from using this website.
1.3 Personal information provided during your application for the ISWI event
We will collect and store any information provided by you during your order in our pretix instance on events.iswi.org until at least 6 months after the end of the event or until required by our founders. This information is used for evaluating your order as well as your invitation to the event and preparations for your participation in the event. Specifically, we use your name and birth date to refer to you as a person that can be identified by these types of data. This is necessary for inviting you to the event. Also, we use your address and email address to send you an invitation to the event (in case we can invite you) and information regarding the event. For your application to ICW 2026, we ask you to write an essay and submit a audio message which we only use for the application progress. This information is anonymous, hence not connected to your person, to the people evaluating the essays. It can be only connected to you by the persons responsible for the resorts IT, participants and hosts of ICW 2026 for administrative purpose and in order to solve any of your requests.
In case you will be invited, take part in the event and misbehave leading to your exclusion of the event, we can share your name and email address on a hashed blacklist with our partner conferences in the SOrCE network.
We will not transfer any personal information to third parties (apart from the mentioned personal data) and will delete any personal information about you as soon as the mentioned purposes do not apply any more.
No information should be submitted by any user under 18 years of age.
2. Data security
ISWI e.V. protects this website and other systems with technical and organisational measures against loss, damage, access, alteration or circulation of user data by unauthorized persons. Despite constant control, protection to the full extent against all risks will not be obtainable.
In case we get aware of a data breech, we will notify you (art. 34 GDPR) and the supervisory authority (art. 33 GDPR) without undue delay not later than 72 hours after we became aware of it.
